What is Palliative Care?

Palliative care, also commonly known as end-of-life care is a 24/7 care service provided to those who are nearing the final days, weeks or months of their lives.

This approach to care provides a high standard of comfort and support to those who are in the last stages of their lives, due to old age, a terminal illness, or a progressive health condition.

The aim of palliative care is to alleviate a person’s pain and symptoms as much as possible, while a dedicated care team maintains the dignity of an individual and fulfills their wishes. There is also support provided to residents’ loved ones.
