Struan Lodge Care Home has kicked off the month of July with a variety of activities, providing residents with engaging opportunities for social interaction and personal enrichment. From tea tasting and knitting groups to reading clubs and game sessions, the residents have been actively participating and thoroughly enjoying their time.

To start the month residents took part in a captivating music therapy session that was organised at the Eric Liddell Community Centre. The session sparked lively discussions and created a sense of connection among the residents.

Our visitor, Roy delivered a captivating talk on the historic events surrounding D-Day. The reminiscing session allowed the residents to share their own stories and memories, fostering a sense of camaraderie and nostalgia. They greatly appreciated Roy's insights and knowledge, creating a stimulating and educational experience.

Tea-tasting sessions proved to be a hit among the residents, with Jim and Alison expressing their excitement about the opportunity to try different flavors using the care home's new China tea set. The delicate aromas and flavors delighted their taste buds, offering a unique sensory experience that brought joy to their daily routines.

Pampering is an essential aspect of life at Struan Lodge Care Home in Edinburgh, and Ann, one of the residents, loves to get pampered. She relished the opportunity to indulge in a relaxing nail care session, allowing her to feel pampered and cared for by the attentive staff.

Residents at Struan Lodge Care Home have expressed their enthusiasm for the wide range of activities available to them. Jim and George, for instance, have been engaging in friendly evening domino matches accompanied by a warm cup of tea. These game sessions have not only provided entertainment but also encouraged socialisation and bonding among our residents.

For the ladies, afternoon teas and knitting sessions led by volunteer Margaret have become a much-anticipated part of their routine. Our ladies love to gather, chat, and knit within Struan Lodge's supportive and inclusive setting. Margaret's dedication and enthusiasm have added a special touch to these delightful sessions.

The gardening group at Struan Lodge Care Home has thoroughly enjoyed witnessing the fruits of their labour. The blooming plants in the garden bring a sense of fulfilment and joy to the residents who actively participate in the gardening activities.
