Mother’s Day Tea Party

Here at Struan Lodge Care Home, we have recently held a Mother's Day tea party for the women within our wonderful home.

We decorated our lounge and dining space with balloons, flowers and banners. Our in-house chef also prepared some tasty afternoon treats for the event.

All of our residents had such a memorable day sharing stories with one another and enjoying the delicious sweet treats.

The primary focus of this activity was to honour and celebrate the mothers and mother figures residing within our home. The tea party as a special experience which broke the routine of daily life, it also encouraged the social interaction between staff, residents and families. Hosting this tea party for Mother's Day created a positive memory for all of our residents to cherish forever. It provided an opportunity for our residents to socialise with one another as well as other staff members all within a relaxed and enjoyable setting, meaning that our residents came together to celebrate and honour each others roles as mothers or mother figures.
